amazing first bike! We got this for our 3year old son who had been riding a balance bike for a year. He transitioned seemleasly to the pedals and use of the hand break. My husband, who is very particular about bikes, was very impressed with the craftsmanship and components. we highly recommend this bike!

After searching for the lightest pedal bike for my daughter coming off a balance bike I found this gem. It’s price is reasonable given its quality and craftsmanship. The key sell was the low seat position but yet the larger 14″ wheel size compared to most other brands at 12″, and most importantly the weight. Weight is key when these are meant for little kids. My daughter loves the pink and it has a hand brake “like dads bike”. She’s had it for about 8 months and it still functions and looks brand new. Little tough to air up tires due to such little room, angled valve stems would fix this. I would like to see a taller handlebar offered as a later purchase when she gets a little bigger. Very happy with the purchase.

Our son started riding his CNOC one week shy of turning 3!! He was already zipping around on a balance bike and within a few tries transitioned smoothly to this bike. So many bikes marketed for young children are just smaller versions of adult bikes and do not take into account how a bike should be made to fit a young child and to position their center of gravity so that they can learn to ride. We love that this bike has a hand brake and pedal brake so that children can learn to use both. It is also very lightweight but very durable. We chose this bike after TONS of research and consider it well worth the investment, it will be used by our younger son when he is ready for a bike. We credit Islabikes for being why our son was able to start riding so young – thank you for the gift of family bike rides, which we will enjoy for years and years to come.

Fantastic little bike for our daughter. We live in the country (no pavement for riding) and our yard is stepped with rolling slopes, so the light weight is a huge benefit for her. She was up and riding in just a few days.
