Use our size guide to ensure the perfect fit
An elite experience
Islabikes’ expertise in positioning a smaller body on a bicycle comes from our years of experience taking part in elite level competition. We know how a winning off-road bike needs to feel and perform. The Creig’s aluminium 7005 series T6 heat-treated frame is our own exclusive design and features a new down tube profile, creating excellent fork clearance and increased strength at the front end. All Creigs feature adjustable air-sprung front suspension with external rebound, which is especially tuned to respond in harmony with a lightweight rider.
Big ideas for smaller riders
The Creig is equipped with a SRAM twist shifter, which provides better control for small hands. Combined with the new SRAM GX T2 clutch rear derailleur, this provides slick and precise shifting regardless of terrain. Just like the Pro Series, a custom single 1×10 chainset provides aspiring young riders with a wide range of gears perfect for technical climbs and flowing descents. The new 104 BCD narrow/wide aluminium chainring ensures excellent chain retention if the singletrack gets rough while offering the flexibility to fine tune gearing.
Control and comfort
The Creig’s custom-made super slim handlebars and grips keep hands perfectly placed and safe. The handlebars are wide enough to control the bike over technical terrain but also narrow enough to suit shorter arms. The 60mm flip-flop stem allows the bars be positioned higher for a relaxed trail adventure or lower for a more race-orientated position.
In the saddle
Our Islabikes seats are properly proportioned for a child’s narrow hips, providing comfortable support and good positioning without unnecessary bulk. A rider can easily slip back over the rear wheel and keep the bike balanced on descents when riding out of the saddle.
Light going up, steady on downhills
The Creig’s super light and strong, alloy, disc-specific rims are built with light gauge stainless steel spokes, which guarantees a light responsive feel when climbing and complete control when descending. Vee’s Crown GEM 2.25″ wide tires are particularly suitable for lighter riders. They are well-made with strong but flexible sidewalls and provide excellent grip across a wide variety of surfaces and terrains.
