    :

This bike is a dream. I bought it because of the stellar writeups online and I think it’s worth the extra cost relative to brands available in brick-and-mortar stores. The most stunning thing is how lightweight the bike is: my 7 year old can carry it easily and I can pick it up with one hand. I think this helps my son out on uphills. The shifting and brakes are also superb, and the tires are a great in-between that straddle both roads and (non-technical) mountain biking. My only concern is whether this beautiful bike will be stolen!

This bike is incredible. Typically kids bikes are poorly made and heavy. This makes for very low enjoyment when the kids just can’t keep up because they have a bad bike. I looked for a long time trying to find a well made, light bike for my children. Behold the Beinn series. I first ordered the Beinn 24 with Schwalbe tires for lower rolling resistance. The results were amazing. My child doubled his riding distance and tripled his enjoyment. I immediately ordered the Beinn 20 with the identical set up for my eight year old daughter. Now the kids are out riding with mom and I. This is great! With an increased range we can now reach Grandma’s house, the ice cream store and a lot of previously unheard of destinations. We spend more time biking because of these bikes. Theses are excellent bikes.

This bike is beautiful! The green color is so luminous and the pictures do not in any way capture how nice the paint is. This is our 2nd Islabike and the first is now going strong with our younger child. As with our Beinn 20, the Beinn 24 is a very high quality product that fits children better than anything else out there. Every part of the bike is scaled down to fit kids and the difference is striking. Your kid isn’t stretched out trying to reach the bars or on their tippy-toes with the seat slammed all the way down. They just get on and ride and that fit helps them be confident immediately.

It’s obviously not the cheapest bike out there for kids but I consider it the best value and will probably be back in 2 years when my kids outgrow their current Islabikes.

Amazing! You will never regret purchasing this bike. The difference between this bike and your average kid’s bike cannot be overstated. I bought the rear rack as well. The rack will take a normal front-rack pannier bag. So my kids ride to school with their lunch boxes, U-locks, etc., safely in a pannier bag. With this bike, you can raise a future bicycle commuter and touring cyclist. What more can you ask for?
