My son is large for his age but hadn’t really taken to his balance bike. After seeing others at his preschool riding, however, he started asking for a pedal bike for his birthday. After researching the design of children’s bikes and seeing how Islabikes were designed specifically for ease of learning, mechanical advantage and lightness (plus the hand brakes), I was convinced that the Cnoc was right but didn’t want to buy a bike he would outgrow in 6 months. Fortunately, when I called, the lovely person on the phone told me about the Cnoc 20, which at the time was on a boat in the Pacific. Thank you so much for shipping it out right away, it arrived the day before his birthday. Today was his second outing on the bike, and to both my and my husband’s amazement, he started riding on his own and didn’t want to come home from the park. Yes it is expensive but to us it is worth it and his brother will get to use it too.

We bought this for my daughter’s birthday. She has been riding a two wheeler for about a year and had a cheaper heavier bike. We found this online after looking for something lighter for her. She has had this about a month now. It is wonderful. Easy for her to get on and ride plus light for us to put it away when not in use. It is a wonderful product and we will be buying another for my son for Christmas.

After learning about Islabikes on a children’s biking website I decided that this would be my son’s first bike: lightness, well thought out features (covered chain!), and great (visible) orange and pink colors!

So I called to confirm sizing (they were very helpful and we ended up with the 20 instead of the 16 that I originally thought we’d need) which is great because I, like another reviewer, didn’t want to get something that he’d outgrow in a few months. It came quickly and was easy to set up – move the headset and tighten. The pedals were easy to put on – but I wish I had had the appropriately sized cone wrench. The bike does come with a set of allen wrenches specific to the screws used.

He’d ridden on a balance bike off and for about two years – not consistently, but enough to “get it”. So while we were on vacation at the beach I had him practice on his balance bike for the first week and then brought out his surprise – the bike – and he was soooo excited and happy. I spent two days doing the “run along with them” thing and giving gentle balance help at start and end and going over the mechanics of where the pedals should be. Day three and he was off and running on his own. It made my eyes leak and I was so happy when we took our first mother/son bike ride around the campground.

Kickstands are extra but I’d definitely get one!

I purchased CNOC 20″ for my niece.
She complained that her current bike was too heavy (her old bike weighs almost 24 pounds).
The CNOC 20″ weighs in at around 15 pounds is very light and nimble. What a huge difference for a kid that weighs about 50 pounds.
The bike was almost fully assembled out of the box… all I had to so was align the steering handlebar and install the 2 pedals. This is easy because the necessary tools were provided by Islabikes. Overall, I am so happy with this purchase and my niece loves her new bike. I can’t wait to get her the 24″ when she gets a bit older.
This bike was money well spent!

I am 5’ 2”, and my husband is a mere two inches taller. That is to say, we produce very tiny children, and I was having a terrible time finding a bike for my 46” second-grader. We tried the typical Target/Dick’s/Local bike shop, but she was having a really hard time controlling any of the bikes they carried. I researched options online and Two Wheeling Tots recommended this bike. I was initially taken aback by the price, but we just got the bike today, and I am at the park right now watching my daughter gleefully pedal away.

It was well worth the money, especially considering it came almost completely assembled. It took me ten minutes of setup (all the required allen wrenches are included), and we were ready to go. This was a far cry from the two hours of swearing and hunting down tools to assemble her first bike (purchased from a big-box store.) From the slender handlebars that she can actually grip to the stickers that tell you which way to rotate the pedals to attach them, the details are just superb. The turquoise is absolutely beautiful — the bike is a very unisex color that her brother will also be able to ride. I am thrilled by the bike and can’t wait to pass it down to her two younger siblings.

A beautiful children’s bike! I feel very lucky that my son is learning to ride on this lightweight but sturdy, highly-functional bike. This was a 5th-birthday present and he loved the name decal that Islabikes offers with it. Also glad that we got it with the kickstand. There was a minor issue upon delivery, but Islabikes quickly resolved it in a more-than-fair manner. So much better (than most kids bikes) to receive it already assembled, too. Highly recommend if you’re shopping in this price range; I doubt there is a better children’s bike on the market.
