This little bike is fantastic. I’ve had two kids use it extensively, and it is still in great condition and ready for the third. Neither of my first two ever needed training wheels because of the balance skills they learned on this and the pedaling skills learned on their trike. Having a brake is what makes it much more functional than most balance bikes. One difficulty is getting the tire inflator into those small wheels–but it is possible.

Awesome little bike with high quality components. The hand brake works great and has helped my boy feel prepared for the next step up which will for sure be an Islabike also! We have put many miles on this bike including single track trails. Very fun! Highly recommended.

Outstanding balance bike with great riding position, good handling, powerful, easy-to-use handbrake and very light weight. Handbrake is not only good practice for an eventual pedal bike, but an essential safety feature when a kid rides at high speed or down a hill. One design flaw: the inflation valve is so close to the wheel hub that it’s very difficult to fit most hand pump connectors for inflation. We had to go to a bike shop, where their pump connector would fit. To avoid this, you can find a bike pump that has a low-profile connector.

Got one of these for my son when he turned 2 but made a mistake and had the seat too high, he got scared and didn’t really touch it again till after his 3rd birthday. Last week he finally started flying through the house in it and in just a few days has both feet in the air going downhill at the park. I’m amazed. He picked up the brake all by himself when I simply showed him it and right away when he goes too fast I yell “brake hit the brake”…he presses it and slows. Now, he’s my only kid and I did a ton of research, most sites had this bike as the #1 so that’s why I spent the $$ and bought it. I’m glad I did. Don’t hesitate thinking the $50 bike at Wal-Mart is just as good, it isnt.

My son is loving this balance bike! He just turned two and has easily adapted to biking while balancing. The bike is well put together, and was easy to assemble as soon as it arrived. I have seen such an improvement on his movement and balance after using this bike, and I cant wait to get him on one without training wheels next! This is the best beginner bike out there that I’ve seen for two year olds.
